Shilajit is sold everywhere online in Pakistan, from social media pages to marketplaces. Some sellers are honest. Others send diluted resin, mixed fillers or nothing at all. This guide shows the red flags to watch for and how cash on delivery (COD) lowers your risk.
Red flags before you order
- No lab report. A seller who cannot show a report that names the product and the laboratory is asking you to trust their word only.
- Prices far below the market. Resin sold much cheaper than every other seller is often unpurified or mixed. Compare with the current shilajit price list.
- No website, no address, only a chat number. Check that the brand has a real website, policies and a way to contact them.
- Payment only in advance to a personal account. If COD is not offered, ask why.
- Stock photos and copied reviews. Reverse-search the photos and look for reviews on more than one platform.
7 checks to make before you pay
- Ask for the lab report and read the product name, batch and laboratory on it. Ours are on the lab reports page.
- Check the certificates: ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GMP and Halal.
- Ask where the resin comes from. Chitral House resin is from Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Check the grade: semi-sun-dried or Aftabi. See the grades guide.
- Look for the same brand name on the box, the jar and the website.
- Confirm delivery by a known courier with tracking.
- Do the simple home checks in our original vs fake shilajit guide when it arrives.
How cash on delivery helps
With COD you pay when the parcel reaches you, not before. That means you are not sending money to a stranger first. It does not replace the checks above, so still look for a lab report and a real brand. Chitral House offers cash on delivery across Pakistan, with delivery by TCS in 2 to 7 working days and free delivery on orders over Rs 3,000. Details are on the delivery page.
If something looks wrong on arrival
- Take photos of the parcel and the jar before using it.
- Keep the courier receipt and the order message.
- Contact the seller straight away on the number printed on the website.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to buy shilajit online in Pakistan?
It can be, if the seller shows lab reports, certificates and a real contact, and offers COD. Avoid sellers with none of these.
Does COD guarantee the shilajit is original?
No. COD protects your payment, not the quality. Quality comes from the lab report, the source and the brand.
How do I know the lab report is real?
It should name the product, the batch and an accredited laboratory, and it should match the product in your hand.
